Student in Diocesan Home and Orphanage
(now Diocesan Boys' School). |
1884-1887 |
Student in Central School (now Queen's College). |
1887 |
Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese inaugurated; Sun Yat-sen was one of its first students. |
1911 |
The University of Hong Kong incorporated by Ordinance. In the same year, the imperial monarchy in China was overthrown by the Revolution championed by Sun Yat-sen. |
1912 |
First cohort of students admitted to The University of Hong Kong, with the College of Medicine formally incorporated into the University. |
1923, Feb 20 |
Sun Yat-sen visited The University of Hong Kong at the
invitation of the Students' Union, and made his historic speech at the Great Hall (now Loke Yew Hall). |
2003, Nov 12 |
Sun Yat-sen Statue installed at the Lily Pond, at the heart of the campus of The University of Hong Kong. |
